Dance, Mindful Eating, and the Mind/Body Connection

We are grateful for the vision of Ann Slen at Northeast School of Dance for offering students a series of workshops to enhance their artistry on stage and in life. One-to-One is excited to be a part of this innovative event. In August, Kelly Holt will be teaching improvisational and modern dance classes that encourage students to reach their full potential both technically and within themselves utilizing mindfulness techniques that are creative, fun, and give meaning to movement. Pam Holt will engage students in "mindful eating exercises" that encourage students to explore their own answers to the questions of what, when, and how much do we eat. In addition, the new Choose My Plate tool will be introduced as well as the basics of food groups, healthy portions, fast food options, and healthy snacking.
