After seeing several people a couple of weeks ago who had suffered hip fractures, a friend from Colorado advised all to purchase Yaktrax. Yaxtrax is a type of cleat that fits over the bottom of boots and shoes providing traction on ice and snow. Although I don't usually endorse many products, this may be an option for many of you who wish to stay sure-footed and safe outdoors.
